The researcher Bárbara Poblete published the work "Sentiment-based User Profiles in Microblogging Platforms" in Hypertext 2015. In that work Bárbara analyses user tweets for clustering Twitter users. This clustering process is based on the sentiments that Twitter users express in their tweets. Barbara and her coauthor found that a large number of Twitter users can be grouped in nine distinct profiles according to the strength and polarity of their sentiment.
