The Nucleus Millennium researcher Aidan Hogan will publish an article at Revista Bits de Ciencias (published by the Department of Computer Science, Universidad de Chile). In that article Aidan gives a brief introduction to the emerging topic of "Big Data". He covers some of the main concepts in the area and tries to give some hints as to why it may have enjoyed such unusual hype in recent years.
