On November 13th the First Workshop on Semantic Web was held at Jornadas Chilenas de Computación 2014. The workshop was organised by the researchers of this Nucleus Millennium project and was attended by many of the students present at the Jornadas. In the workshop Pablo Barceló (deputy director of the project) presented the main goals of the Nucleus Millennium project and Aidan Hogan presented an overview of the key technologies in the Semantic Web. Besides, several researchers of the CIWS were very active at the Jornadas Chilenas. Martín Ugarte, Carlos Buil, Pablo Barceló, Jorge Pérez and Juan Reutter presented their work at the workshop "Lo Mejor de lo Nuestro", a workshop in which the best research works done in Chile during the last year are presented.
